Homeopaths do try so hard to pass as scientists, poor things. They really aren’t very good at it. While the inexperienced may be fooled by long lists of official-sounding studies (Gish Gallop), the citing of famous names (Appeal from Authority), plus the claims that thousands of people benefit from it (Argument Ad Populam) and that it’s over 200 years old (Argument from Antiquity), the simple fact is that nobody has ever proved that homeopathy works.
